With an impressive global service record spanning 160 years, hot dip galvanising is unmatched in providing long service life, durability and predictable performance of steelwork whilst virtually eliminating disruptive maintenance.
The hot dip galvanising process produces a tough, abrasion resistant coating of metallic zinc and iron-zinc alloy layers, which are bonded to the parent steel and cover the piece internally and externally.
Korvest has one of Australia's largest baths allowing single dipping of structural members to 13.5m in length. Fabrications up to 4.5 tonne have been hot dip galvanised.

Korvest Galvanisers are equipped with both conventional and centrifuge galvanising systems. These facilities are capable of providing corrosion protection for all forms of structural and fabricated steelwork, as well as nails, washers, castings, general bracketry and concrete re-inforcing bar.
Galvanising Kettles
Korvest have two:
- A state of the art ceramic kettle for high temperature galvanising of small products, including threaded components and castings.
- Featuring a 14m long, 2.2m deep, 1.6m wide galvanic bath which will enable:
- Single dipping to 13.5m for an architectural finish
- Fast tracking of major projects
- The fabrication of larger components, reducing splices etc
and features
- Environmentally friendly plant design including fume extraction.
