Chris Hartwig
General Manager - EzyStrut

 

Chris has over 20 years of general management experience working for publicly listed companies in the steel, manufacturing and electrical sectors. Bachelor degree qualified, Chris rose rapidly through the management ranks establishing himself as high performance leader known for achieving results.

 

Chris has a reputation for being a strong, visionary and communicative leader, with an ability to build strong teams that perform at high levels. A common theme has been a relentless focus on safety, effective channel strategies, customer service and quality in all businesses that Chris has been involved with. Some career highlights include business restructures that improve business performance and reduce costs, successful acquisitions and the establishment of the Indax division for Korvest, a fast growing division that included greenfield site establishment and rapid product range expansion.


 

 

Steven Evans
General Manager - Korvest Galvanisers

 

Steven Evans has over 25 years experience in the industrial and manufacturing arena. He is a qualified engineer with a masters degree in materials engineering, supplemented with a post graduate management diploma.

Steven has worked in the primary steel industry in South Africa as well as South Australia in a variety of roles including research and development, operations and market development. This experience is supplemented with roles in the steel processing (including wire galvanising) industry and copper wire industry in operations management and general management roles .

Steven is a seasoned manager with almost 20 years experience in different management roles. He values his safety and the safety of the people he works and lives with dearly and is passionate about getting the best possible outcome safely. Customer satisfaction and getting it right the first time every time is important, therefore he aspires to ensure robust systems are in place to achieve these two outcomes. He believes it is just as important that all the people in the organisation are well equipped and trained to fulfil their roles as it is to have clear and achievable goals.

He practices a management style of open discussions where every team member has a valuable opinion and has a mechanism to express it. Steven values good relationships with customers suppliers and colleagues. He understands that Rome was built over a long period of time, with many contributors and places a high premium on having fun while achieving success. 
 

 

 

Andrew Ifkovich

General Manager - Indax 

 

Andrew Ifkovich has over 15 years experience in senior management roles in the resources, defence contracting and metal fabrication industries. In the early part of his career Andrew worked for the global mining companies WMC Resources and Place Dome in a variety of financial and commercial roles. In 2004 Andrew moved with his family to Adelaide to work for Tenix Defence. In 2005 he was appointed General Manager - Land Division, during which time he oversaw the delivery of the M113 Armoured Personnel Carrier Upgrade project to the Department of Defence. Following the sale of Tenix Defence to BAE Systems in 2008, Andrew worked for UGL Resources in Adelaide before joining Korvest as General Manager Indax in August 2010.

 

Andrew holds a double Bachelors Degree in Law and Economics from Monash University in Melbourne.

 

 

Steve Jeffs

Quality Manager

 

Steve has been involved in manufacturing for over 20 years. 

 

He has worked in Quality roles over the last 17 years predominantly in inspection and testing.

 

His most recent role as Korvest Quality Manager will enable him to apply his skills and drive for continual improvement to assist Korvest in becoming a high quality organisation from customer service, manufacturing, through to delivery.

 

Steve is a highly approachable person who values and listens to people’s input.

Greg Thompson

OHSE Manager

 

Greg has in excess of 20 years experience as an occupational health and safety professional working in many industry sectors including: meat; public sector; agriculture; fisheries; forestry; education; automotive and now manufacturing operations at Korvest. Greg has assisted many organisations achieve high performance in safety, he has also developed OHSE management systems for most organisations he has worked for which has enabled those organisations to achieve certification of their system to Australian Standards and/or self insurance to the WorkCover Performance Standards for Self Insured organisations. Greg is a well known and respected member within the safety community and maintains an active involvement with the AI Group, that provide resources and assistance to the manufacturing industry.

Greg holds OHSE management and internal auditing qualifications.

Greg also values input from others, he is a good listener and provides instant feedback.
